Born in Vigevano, Italy, and now based in New York City, Rossano Sportiello is an award-winning jazz pianist celebrated for his mastery of stride piano. Mentored by the legendary Barry Harris, he has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Birdland and the Newport Jazz Festival, and at festivals and concert halls across Europe and Asia. His many recordings include six solo piano albums, and his honors include the 2009 Ascona Jazz Award.
